Job summary

Stellantis seeks a Launch Manager at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant to lead all launch activities, aligning Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget program execution using SIS and WIP.

You will drive cross-functional execution, resolve issues, and lead both salaried and represented teams through high-pressure launch conditions, owning end-to-end readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of operations management in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Background in Quality and Engineering Management.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and automation.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively from hourly represented employees to senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capability.
  • Experience with continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing (SPW).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to lead under pressure.
  • Willingness to work off-shift hours and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all launch activities for Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, ensuring plant readiness for SOP.
  • Drive execution using SIS standards and WIP cross-functional alignment.
  • Deliver program milestones on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to achieve launch targets.
  • Lead launch war rooms and drive closure of critical issues and risks.
  • Ensure process validation, quality readiness, and workforce preparedness.
  • Communicate launch status, risks, and recovery plans to plant and executive leadership.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and accountability across all levels of the organization.
  • Coach and develop team members while fostering a high-performance, results-driven culture.
  • Build strong working relationships with plant leadership, workforce, and key stakeholders.
