Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Ten or more years in a chemical process plant with at least five years in Equipment Reliability.
  • Familiarity with electronic and analytical instrumentation used to measure and control flow, temperature, pressure, level and analytical properties of fluids.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to work as a team member.

Responsibilities

  • Review compliance of ITPM/PdM activities with corporate, regulatory, site and quality requirements, standards and procedures.
  • Manage PMs and reporting for level instrumentation calibrations of material storage vessels governed by SOX as identified by Ashland finance department.
  • Provide recommendations for storeroom inventory to service Calvert City Plants instrumentation.
  • Provide technical engineering support to hourly craft crews to improve inspection/calibration procedures and existing programs.
  • Support instrumentation improvement projects involving plant critical process instrumentation.
  • Review instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets and specifications for compliance with standards and safety/quality rules.
  • Design or upgrade instrumentation and specify materials to support installation.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and calibration frequencies for all ITPMs and include in CMMS.
  • Maintain calibration records for test equipment for Instrument/Electrical and Valve Repair shops.
  • Approve and/or specify purchase of new measurement/test equipment for Instrument/Electrical shop.
  • Review site MOC’s for correct instrumentation and conformance to Ashland standards.
  • Evaluate and implement new instrument technologies.
  • Participate in Quality and Safety audits.
  • Coordinate with contractors on scale inspection frequency and record keeping.
  • Update CCOP/SOP forms as needed.
  • Track elevator/lift PM costs and coordinate with KY inspectors for licensing.
