Job summary

Arkema Inc. in Calvert City, Kentucky, seeks a Staff Plant Instrument Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role provides instrumentation and control engineering to support safe, reliable plant operations.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve process performance, optimize control systems, and manage capital projects across the plant. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 1 year of experience in instrumentation and

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in instrumentation and control system design, maintenance, or engineering.
Experience with DCS, PLC, and SIS platforms.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective written and verbal communication.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Improve and optimize process control systems to enhance plant performance and reliability.
Support DCS, PLC, SIS, and VSDs.
Lead instrumentation and controls projects from concept to startup.
Develop project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.
Manage project budgets and coordinate contractors and internal resources.
Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting instrumentation issues.
Promote safety compliance and participate in process safety initiatives.
