Job summary

JVIS in Bowling Green, Ohio seeks a seasoned HR professional to lead broad HR functions across labor relations, safety, employee development and benefits. The role reports to the General Manager and drives policy, compliance and workforce programs in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include policy revision, training administration, recruiting for hourly and salary staff, benefits management, and coordinating safety and workers compensation initiatives with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent minimum with 10 years HR experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong experience in union relations and contract negotiations.
• Broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations and training development.

Responsibilities

• Participate with General Manager to revise HR policies and procedures to meet business objectives.
• Maintain HR policies related to training, safety, employee relations, compensation, benefits and recruiting.
• Develop strategies for labor contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
• Administer and organize company training programs and benefits (401K, medical, dental, life, disability).
• Coordinate plant safety program with General Manager and Plant Manager and manage workers compensation injuries.
• Manage recruiting for hourly and salary positions and handle employee communications.
