Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC seeks an on-site HR Business Partner for a Pittsburgh-region plant. You will partner with plant management, spend time on the floor with hourly and salaried staff, and drive HR initiatives at the site.

The role involves coaching leaders through employee relations, managing performance conversations, and collaborating with corporate HR on labor matters. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in HR within manufacturing or warehousing.
• Union environment experience preferred; strong candidates without it who show they can pick it up will be considered.
• Able to handle sensitive employee matters independently and judge when escalation is warranted.
• Builds trust easily with everyone from the floor to the front office.
• HRIS experience a plus, especially helping with an implementation.
• Must be local; relocation is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Act as single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees.
• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, performance conversations, and conflict.
• Work alongside corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations.
• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention.
• Keep the site in line with employment law and company policy.
• Stay visible on the production floor so employees know who to come to.
• Help roll out HR systems and process improvements.
• Report site trends and concerns up to HR leadership.
