Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years HR in manufacturing/warehousing.
• Union environment experience preferred; strong candidates without it who can learn will be considered.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee matters independently and escalate when warranted.
• Builds trust with staff from the shop floor to the front office.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees.
• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, performance conversations, and conflict.
• Work alongside corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations.
• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention.
• Keep the site in line with employment law and company policy.
• Stay visible on the production floor so employees know who to come to.
• Help roll out HR systems and process improvements.
• Report site trends and concerns up to HR leadership.
