Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Franklin Park, IL is seeking a Plant HR Manager who reports to the HR Field Operations Manager. This onsite role handles employee relations, compliance with federal and state laws such as EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA, and NLRB, while supporting morale, training, and practical HR processes at the plant level.

You will drive talent planning, recruiting in manufacturing, union interaction, and compensation governance in collaboration with corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of HR experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Union HR experience and contract negotiations preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• HR certifications preferred (SHRM or HRCI).

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
• Partner with plant leadership to manage talent, compensation, and benefits.
• Oversee recruitment, diversity hiring, and workforce planning.
• Administer union contracts and coordinate grievances.
• Provide coaching and training on policies and procedures.
• Ensure safe and inclusive workplace culture.
