Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an HR Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to our plant Human Resources department. You will process HR documentation, support audits, coordinate training sessions, and help implement HR policies on the shop floor and office areas.

In this role you’ll collaborate with experienced HR professionals, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years relevant HR experience.
• Strong organization, flexibility, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization and manage up.
• Solid understanding of HR functions and requirements.
• Ability to deal with and handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Assistance: process HR documentation, including I‑9 compliance and employee records, and assist in HR-related audits.
• Employee Relations: answer routine questions and provide HR resources to empower employees.
• Employee Engagement & Events: coordinate recognition events and HR-led activities to boost morale.
• Employee Support and Training: assist orientation, perform exit interviews, and engage production floor staff.
