Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a proactive HR Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to our plant Human Resources department. You will implement policies, assist with audits, and help train staff while maintaining confidentiality in a fast-paced setting.

The role focuses on employee relations, engagement, and training, with opportunities to grow and learn alongside experienced HR professionals. A strong organizational mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years relevant experience.
• Organized, flexible and multi-task oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with all levels of the organization and manage-up effectively.
• Solid understanding of HR functions and requirements.
• Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Collaborate well with others in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Assistance: process HR documentation, including I-9 compliance and employee records.
• Employee Relations: answer routine questions and support HR programs and services.
• Employee Engagement & Events: plan and support facility-level engagement activities.
• Employee Support and Training: assist orientation, conduct exit interviews, and engage with employees on the floor.
