Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an HR Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to the plant Human Resources department. You will process HR documentation, assist with audits, and help keep policies implemented while fostering a positive workplace culture.

You’ll coordinate training, support employee relations, and engage on the production floor to ensure a safe, respectful environment. An organized, proactive candidate with HR knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of relevant HR experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and tact.
• Good written and verbal communication; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Process HR documentation including I-9 compliance and employee records.
• Assist with HR-related audits and compliance such as SMETA/SWA.
• Support facility-level employee engagement, recognition events, and HR-led activities.
• Assist with orientation, conduct exit interviews, and gather feedback; visit production floor to engage employees.
