Job summary

Cabot Corporation’s Midland, MI facility seeks a Facility General Manager to lead safe, cost-effective production while driving continuous improvement and cross-functional alignment. You will oversee quality, SH&E, finance, and asset stewardship, shaping the site’s long-term capability and performance.

The role requires a technical degree and 7+ years of manufacturing experience with prior people and budget management, plus a strong Lean and process-improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/University Degree, preferably in a technical discipline.
• 7+ years manufacturing experience, including prior people/budget management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership across cross-functional teams and sites.
• Experience implementing Lean principles and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe production of products meeting quality, quantity, reliability, and service expectations.
• Direct cross-functional site activities and ensure compliance with company and external requirements.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement to strengthen process capability and reduce variability.
• Manage capital budgets and plan/control department expenditures to meet targets.
• Promote Human Resources excellence and workforce development at the site.
• Lead community outreach and align with Responsible Care and RC14001 standards.
