Job summary

nVent is seeking a finance business partner to support our Oshkosh, WI and Kewanee, IL sites. You will lead financial support for multiple value streams and drive productivity and inventory-related goals while leading core financial processes for the plants.

In this role you will perform variance analysis, Percent of Completion revenue recognition, and cross-functional projects to improve cash flow and operating results. The position is hybrid, onsite four days per week at either site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years in Financial Planning, Operational Finance or Corporate Finance.
• Manufacturing finance experience preferred.
• Experience with plant standard costing systems preferred.
• Experience with Percent of Completion revenue recognition preferred.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel; Tableau/Sievo/OneStream XF familiarity helpful.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost and cash productivity in the plants with leadership to improve margins.
• Lead Excess and Obsolete analysis and process improvements.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for safety, quality, delivery, cost and cash metrics.
• Lead location inventory and asset reporting with accuracy.
• Develop analytical tools to understand manufacturing cost structure and variances.
• Support cross-functional projects to drive operational improvements at the plant.
• Lead the month-end close process including journal entries and reporting package uploads.
