Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking a Plant Controller to join the Operations Finance team and oversee the financial and operational reporting for the facility. This role requires close collaboration with the plant management team to ensure accurate financial results and drive governance across budgeting, forecasting, and capital projects.

Responsibilities include monthly closes, variance analysis, inventory controls, depreciation, and leading site-level financial discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of accounting experience and 5+ years in Operations finance in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven mastery of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monthly closing of facility financials per GAAP and policy.
• Prepare monthly variance/bridging analysis with GM and operations staff.
• Coordinate physical inventories, SOX, and audits.
• Prepare labor utilization planning and overtime reporting.
• Lead annual budget and monthly forecasts.
• Evaluate and approve capital projects.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation calculations.
• Perform operational analysis, trend forecasting, and reporting.
• Lead site-level financial meetings and provide financial visibility to partners.
• Review KPI data and analyze trends to identify root causes.
• Lead cross-functional process improvement to reduce costs.
• Provide financial reports to department heads for expense management.
• Calculate standard costs for raw materials, inventory, and labor.
