Job summary

BD is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead accounting and financial planning for a manufacturing environment in the USA (MD - Hunt Valley). The role emphasizes standard costing, variance analysis, inventory controls, and capital budgeting.

You will partner with site leadership to drive financial discipline and continuous improvement across operations. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/finance within manufacturing, strong Excel skills, ERP experience (SAP/BPC), and knowledge of GAAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversees planning, reporting, and analysis of standard product costing, manufacturing variances, inventory and its components.
• Develops standard costs and maintains fixed assets.
• Ensures reserves are calculated and manufacturing performance is reported.
• Partners with plant leaders to optimize finance-related decisions and safeguard assets.
• Drives continuous improvement through gross profit, inventory, product life-cycle and spending analyses.
• Ensures compliance with US GAAP and company policies; supports SOX controls.
• Assists auditors and reviews capital expenditures and construction in progress.
