Job summary

Danone USA seeks a Plant Controller to lead the finance team at the West Jordan, UT manufacturing plant. You will own cost accounting, month-end close, forecasts, and internal controls, while partnering with operations to improve efficiency.

You will manage two Finance Associates, drive standard cost and asset accounting, and support corporate HQ with analyses and audits. This role requires strong accounting skills and leadership in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong MS Office skills; ERP systems experience (SAP preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and technical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex accounting information verbally and in writing.
• Experience managing people.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant cost accounting functions with emphasis on month end close, material loss and labor variance analysis, spare parts, fixed assets and report preparation.
• Oversee plant-level budgeting and forecasts; generate standard cost master data.
• Manage cycle/counts of raw material, fixed assets and spare parts; ensure internal controls.
• Direct external audits and support tax audits; liaise with Plant management and HQ.
• Manage monthly reconciliations and timely corporate consolidation.
• Supervise a team of 2 Finance Associates.
• Develop SOPs and drive lean, world-class continuous improvement programs.
