Job summary

Kraft Heinz, Inc. is seeking a Buildings & Grounds Tech for our Kendallville, IN plant. The role maintains facility infrastructure, grounds, and utilities to meet hygiene and safety standards. Shift is first, with overtime as needed.

You will perform PMs, coordinate maintenance, document in SAP, and support OEE improvements while ensuring compliance with food safety and LOTO requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; plumbing/electrical training preferred.
• 5+ years in industrial or facilities maintenance.
• Willingness to work any shift, weekends, and overtime.
• Plumbing, painting, flooring repair, general construction.
• Basic knowledge of electricity (110V, 240V, 3 phase).
• Ability to obtain PIV licenses (Forklift, Scissor Lift).
• SAP knowledge preferred.
• Food & beverage GMP awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of buildings, roofs, walls, floors, doors, lighting, drainage.
• Painting throughout plant.
• Repair and replacement of lighting and light fixtures.
• Basic plumbing (sinks, eye-wash stations, toilets, etc.).
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure safety, GMP compliance, and permit-to-work systems.
• Document work in SAP and read production schedules.
• Communicate equipment status to Operations and Maintenance teams.
