Job summary

Kraft Heinz Kendallville plant is seeking a Buildings & Grounds Technician to maintain and improve facility infrastructure, buildings, utilities, and grounds. You will ensure a safe, clean, GMP-aligned environment and support production with reliable maintenance.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, strong basic electrical and plumbing knowledge, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime. SAP knowledge is a plus; forklift and scissor lift licenses may be pursued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial or facilities maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED; assoc. degree preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electricity 110V, 240V and 3-phase.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of buildings (roofs, walls, floors, doors, lighting, drainage).
• Painting throughout plant and repair/maintenance of lighting fixtures.
• Basic plumbing (sinks, eye-wash stations, toilets).
• Install/maintain office areas (furniture, TVs).
• Maintain exterior plant areas and signage.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure safety, GMP, and regulatory compliance.
