Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Senior Maintenance and Engineering Leader for a fast-paced plant. You will oversee maintenance, capital project development, and troubleshooting to sustain peak production and product quality.

The role requires leading a team, managing preventative/predictive maintenance, TPM, and cutting-edge maintenance systems while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years in team management or project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Project Development: own capital projects from concept to completion, schedule all elements and ensure safety and environmental standards.
• Maintenance Systems: develop and implement maintenance systems including Preventive/Predictive Maintenance and TPM to maximize plant efficiency.
• Maintenance Staff and Safety: lead maintenance team, delegate tasks, ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Solutions: provide short- and long-term fixes for operating challenges and ensure smooth daily plant operation.
• KPIs: develop and track maintenance-related KPIs across plant operations.
• Leadership and Flexibility: cover for key personnel and ensure seamless operations.
• People Management: develop and coach employees for growth.
