Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., parent company of Liberty, is seeking a Plant Engineer for the Riverton Plant in Kansas. The role focuses on hands-on engineering support across operations, maintenance, and capital projects to improve safety, reliability, and performance in a high-energy plant environment.

You will develop technical expertise across plant systems, lead small-scale projects under $50k, and contribute to long-term operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) preferred.
• Industrial/plant project management experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Support safety initiatives and training programs; participate in safety meetings.
• Understand plant function, operations, maintenance processes and systems.
• Participate in formal training and on-the-job learning with operators and leadership.
• Assist in operation and maintenance of Riverton Plant; provide weekend support.
