Job summary

ADM in Decatur, IL seeks an EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health, Safety, and Process Safety programs at the East Plant. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance & Reliability, Engineering, Quality, and site leadership to reduce risk and drive continuous improvement.

This exempt role oversees PSM/TPS programs, regulatory compliance, training, incident investigations, and safety metrics. You will report to the East Plant Manager as part of the Site Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, and applicable regulations.
• Experience leading audits, regulatory inspections, and corrective action programs.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements into practical standards for operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Hazard and Risk Assessment across the plant, driving risk reduction.
• Own and improve EHS/PSM/TPS programs and ensure ADM standards are followed.
• Develop safety training and capability programs for leaders and frontline staff.
• Manage regulatory agency interactions and injury case coordination with HR and medical teams.
• Track EHS metrics, establish leading/lagging indicators, and report to site leadership.
• Oversee internal, regulatory, and layered EHS audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Maintain environmental permitting oversight and compliance with permits.
• Manage contractor safety programs and contractor EHS reviews.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
• Lead cultural change to embed EHS ownership among leaders and employees.
