Job summary

ADM is seeking an Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager for its Decatur, IL site. The role provides strategic leadership for EHS, PSM and TPS programs, driving risk reduction and continuous improvement across operations, maintenance, engineering and site leadership.

The position requires strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, incident investigation experience, and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical field standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA and process safety regulations (PSM).
• Experience with process safety, hazard analysis, incident investigation, risk assessment and safety management systems.
• Experience leading audits, regulatory inspections, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, influencing and organizational skills.
• Ability to translate regulatory/technical requirements into practical standards for plant personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment and mitigation of EHS and process safety risks across the plant.
• Own and improve site EHS, PSM, and TPS programs; ensure ADM standards are followed.
• Develop safety capability through training and leadership development.
• Serve as primary site contact for regulatory agencies and injury case management.
• Own safety performance reporting and establish leading/lagging indicators.
• Develop and execute an EHS audit strategy including internal and regulatory audits.
• Oversee environmental permits, compliance programs, and continuous improvement.
• Manage contractor EHS reviews and ensure performance aligns with ADM expectations.
• Ensure timely regulatory reporting and action closeouts.
• Model ADM's commitment to protecting people, environment, and long-term sustainability.
