Job summary

SAF-HOLLAND, Inc. is seeking a Plant Cost Accountant to turn cost data into actionable business decisions in a manufacturing setting. You will partner with plant operations to analyze costs, forecast spending, and support profitability and efficiency initiatives.

You’ll manage cost analysis, inventory controls, and month-end close activities, providing insights to drive operational performance. This role emphasizes collaboration across Finance, Operations, and Leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly and annual forecasts for plant spending, inventory, and absorption.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and purchase price variances (PPV).
• Calculate overhead rates, labor efficiencies, and productivity metrics.
• Support month-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Monitor and report cost-reduction initiatives.
• Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.
