What You'll Do
Cost Accounting & Financial Analysis
- Develop monthly and annual forecasts for plant spending, inventory, and absorption.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and purchase price variances (PPV).
- Calculate overhead rates, labor efficiencies, and productivity metrics.
- Support month-end close activities and financial reporting.
- Monitor and report cost-reduction initiatives.
- Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.
Inventory & Manufacturing Controls
- Review and maintain accurate material and labor standards.
- Lead cost roll processes and cost development activities in SAP.
- Monitor inventory obsolescence and related reserves.
- Support cycle count programs and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Manage inventory-related accruals, revaluations, and shrinkage reporting.
Strategic & Capital Analysis
- Evaluate capital investment requests and business cases.
- Support make-versus-buy decisions through financial analysis.
- Conduct periodic capital expenditure reviews and audits.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Help maintain strong internal controls and safeguard company assets.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements.
- Collaborate across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- SAP experience
- Strong manufacturing cost accounting background
