Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an experienced Plant Controller for our Sidney, OH site. You will lead the finance team, partner with plant leadership, and drive financial discipline across cost accounting, planning, and reporting.

This hands-on role focuses on improving manufacturing performance while upholding GAAP and internal controls. You will shape the facility’s financial direction, manage budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with Operations, Materials, and Engineering to turn insights

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience including month-end close, financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and internal controls.
• 3+ years of accounting/finance in a plant or manufacturing environment with direct Operations/Materials collaboration.
• 3+ years of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with advanced Excel skills.
• 1+ year of manufacturing cost accounting, standard costs, and variances.
• 1+ year of leadership experience with direct supervision or cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Sidney finance team and partner with plant leadership to drive financial performance.
• Serve as primary financial business partner to plant leadership, providing insights to support operations and strategy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Commercial teams to improve performance.
• Provide actionable analysis of financial results, risks, and opportunities to guide decisions.
• Support and challenge the organization to achieve financial and operational commitments.
