Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Plant Controller to lead all aspects of plant finance at the Sidney, OH site during a growth period. You will partner with Operations, Materials, and plant leadership to strengthen financial discipline, manage costing, and drive performance with strong GAAP controls.

You will develop the finance team, oversee monthly closes, and implement standard costing, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/CMA preferred.
• 7+ years progressive accounting/finance with month-end close, GAAP, internal controls.
• 3+ years in a plant/manufacturing finance environment with Operations/Materials.
• 3+ years budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis; advanced Excel skills.
• 1+ year manufacturing cost accounting; standard costs & variances.
• 1+ year leadership of teams or cross-functional initiatives.
• Preference for SAP and Hyperion experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sidney finance team and partner with plant leadership.
• Oversee monthly close, reporting, and internal controls under GAAP/SOX.
• Develop Annual Operating Plan and forecasts; analyze variances.
• Provide financial modeling to support manufacturing decisions.
• Drive cost accounting, inventory control, and asset management.
