Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to join its site leadership team. The role oversees financial operations of two small production sites and provides analytical and operational support to a major manufacturing facility in Temple, TX.

The ideal candidate will bring strong cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP compliance, with hands-on involvement in standard costing, inventory control, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Experience with budgeting/forecasting and financial reporting.
• ERP proficiency in Oracle or SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Develop annual plans and quarterly forecasts for production, labor, overhead, and inventory.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and manage inventory metrics.
• Conduct cost/variance analysis and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Evaluate capital investments and ROI with plant and corporate leaders.
• Maintain internal controls and GAAP compliance; support audits.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and IT on process improvements.
