Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Plant Controller for a US-based manufacturer with two small sites and a major facility in Temple, TX. You will oversee financial operations, budget, forecast, and provide plant-level decision support.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in manufacturing finance, strong cost accounting, and hands-on budgeting, with ERP experience. Hybrid schedule and a growth-focused team await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis knowledge.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and standard costing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced Excel and BI reporting proficiency; ERP experience (Oracle, SAP or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close activities, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Prepare operational P&Ls, balance sheets, and management reports.
• Develop annual plans and quarterly forecasts across production, labor, overhead, and inventory.
• Reconcile key accounts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Lead cost and variance analysis and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Evaluate and track capital investments with plant and corporate leaders.
• Maintain strong internal controls and GAAP adherence.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation.
• Streamline reporting and automate workflows for better financial visibility.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and IT on improvement initiatives.
