Job summary

Allied Fabricators, LLC in Texas is seeking a seasoned Plant Controller to own the factory’s financial picture, including cost, margin, and inventory valuation. You will lead two staff accountants and serve as the on-site approval authority for plant spending.

Reporting to the VP of Operations and accountable to the CFO, you will balance plant priorities with corporate reporting standards, drive cost discipline, and provide actionable profitability insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience with scope.
• Experience as Controller or Financial Controller preferred.
• Strong costing, variance analysis, and overhead absorption background.
• Hands-on inventory accounting and month-end close ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant month-end close and deliver results to corporate on schedule.
• Produce the plant P&L with narrative and actionable insights.
• Own inventory accounting for raw steel, WIP, and finished goods.
• Develop and maintain standard costing and variance analysis.
• Manage two staff accountants and oversee spend approvals and capital projects.
• Provide financial advisory support to plant leadership on capacity and pricing.
