We are partnering with a growing trucking and logistics company seeking an experienced Controller to lead their finance and accounting functions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, operationally focused organization where your insights will directly impact profitability and growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee all accounting functions: general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow to support operations.
• Manage bank relationship.
• Provide actionable financial insights to leadership to improve profitability.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Partner with operations to analyze cost structures and optimize performance.
• Lead and develop a small finance/accounting team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, including leadership experience.
• Experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, or distribution preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
• Proficient in accounting software (ERP, QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
