Liberty Mutual Insurance in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Claims Specialist to handle moderately to complex claims within authority, reviewing liability and coverage, negotiating settlements, and managing a portfolio of commercial property/casualty claims. This hybrid role supports in-person collaboration while offering remote work for focused tasks.

The candidate will mentor teammates, assist with claim assignment, and participate in team reviews.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and negotiate with customers and conduct investigations.
• Leadership ability and effective time management to delegate work and organize resources.
• Advanced knowledge of claims handling practices, liability, policy coverage, and state tort laws; bachelor’s degree plus 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Requires obtaining and maintaining applicable licenses.

Responsabilités

• Plans and conducts investigations of claims to analyze coverage and determine liability, compensability and damages.
• Assesses policy coverage and notifies insured of issues; determines reserve requirements.
• Negotiates settlements within authority limits and coordinates litigation activities.
• Mentors and trains new team members; participates in Quality Review processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
