Job summary

HALLSTA in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex healthcare construction projects from inception to completion. You will drive planning, design, construction and closeout while managing client relationships and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of healthcare PM experience, deep knowledge of healthcare codes and safety, and strong leadership and communication abilities. Monday.com proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex healthcare construction projects from planning through closeout.
  • Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and plans.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHPD/HCAI, Joint Commission, and Titles 22/24.
  • Coordinate with regulators and consultants for permits and approvals.
  • Oversee infection control, safety, and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Manage budgets, costs, invoices, change orders, and financial performance.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect delivery.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation and provide updates to clients.
  • Coach and support Project Managers, ASMs, and Coordinators.

Job description

TheSenior Project Manager, Planning & Constructionis responsible for leading complex healthcare construction projects from inception through completion. This role oversees project teams, manages client and stakeholder relationships, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with healthcare-specific regulatory and construction standards.

Salary Range: $145,000.00-$185,000.00 annual salary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead healthcare construction projects through planning, design, construction, and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and overall project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including OSHPD/HCAI requirements, Joint Commission standards, and Titles 22 and 24.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and consultants to obtain required permits and approvals.
  • Oversee healthcare construction activities, including infection control protocols, safety requirements, and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Manage project budgets, costs, invoices, change orders, and financial performance.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Maintain project documentation and provide regular project updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead and support Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Coordinators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of healthcare project management experience preferred.
  • Proven experience successfully managing complex healthcare projects from planning through execution.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare facility design and construction guidelines, building systems, building codes, and accessibility requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare planning, programming, patient safety, and evidence-based design principles.
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with project management software, including Monday.com, required.
