Cedars-Sinai in Beverly Hills is hiring a Senior Construction Project Manager to supervise the development of healthcare projects ranging over $20M. This role involves supervising outsourced firms, coordinating project phases, and ensuring timely delivery.
The ideal candidate has over ten years of construction experience, especially in healthcare, and a degree in Construction Management or related fields. Proficiency in budget management and knowledge of safety regulations is essential.
Senior Construction Project Manager supervises the development of all assigned projects from inception through project close-out and is responsible for the successful delivery of these projects and includes larger more complex health system projects (ie. $20M+, multi-phased acute-care, ground-up, or technically-driven projects) that span a variety of project types, size and budget. The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for directing and managing outsourced construction management firms, architectural firms, and general contractors. Additionally, the Senior Construction Project Manager collaborates and works with the department architects, resource accounting and support staff from initial project inception through successful project completion. Oversees construction projects assigned at the Main Medical Center and/or off-site, including the scheduling of and coordination of vendors, supervising progress and providing progress reports including through internal project management software, meetings and reporting structures.
Experience Requirements:
Ten (10) plus years of experience in the construction and renovation of health care facilities is required with proven track record to coordinate all phases of health facility construction.
Solid grasp with interpreting and applying knowledge of State, Federal and Agency standards to follow regulations. This includes developing relationships and partnerships with jurisdictions.
Knowledge of accounting principles to create and oversee budget(s). Demonstrate knowledge to provide feedback and input on developing, managing, and forecasting for construction budgets.
Educational/Certification Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field. (preferred)
PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.
