Job summary

Build People in Nashville seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and hospital staff to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires 5+ years managing healthcare renovation or ground-up projects in occupied facilities, with a strong command of safety, infection control (ICRA), life-safety standards, and AHCA/JCAHO guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Project Manager for a general contractor.
• Healthcare construction project experience in occupied facilities.
• Knowledge of AHCA/JCAHO, infection control, and life safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and MS Office is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.

If you have a track record of successfully managing healthcare renovation or ground-up projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and healthcare facility staff.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control requirements (ICRA), and life safety standards.
• Conduct project meetings, monitor progress, and proactively resolve issues.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and review contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager for a general contractor.
• Demonstrated experience managing healthcare construction projects in occupied hospital or medical environments.
• Strong understanding of healthcare construction regulations, AHCA/JCAHO requirements, and infection prevention protocols is highly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
