Job description

We are seeking resumes for a Planner – E&I Maintenance (1 Opening) in our Wallula, WA facility.

Description of role:

Plans and schedules the execution of electrical and instrumentation maintenance work orders and scheduled maintenance shutdowns including ordering parts and materials, scheduling mill manpower, managing contractor services, establishing time estimates, and detailing the chronology of events in Microsoft Project.

Principle Accountabilities:

  1. Plans and schedules the execution of electrical and instrumentation maintenance work orders and scheduled maintenance shutdowns including ordering parts and materials, scheduling mill manpower, managing contractor services, establishing time estimates, and detailing the chronology of events in Microsoft Project.
  2. Procures maintenance materials and equipment, and manages shipment and delivery of equipment sent to vendors for rebuilds and repairs.
  3. Manages maintenance costs, communicates to management when costs may exceed budget, and provides justification when they do exceed budget.
  4. Active participant on a maintenance and production team responsible for maximizing equipment production and availability.
  5. Schedules and leads maintenance shutdown planning meetings to meet the mill’s objectives.
  6. Must be willing to put in the necessary time as maintenance needs require, report to the mill during unscheduled work hours to assist in the resolution of maintenance and production problems, and report to the mill on weekends on a periodic on-call schedule.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of five years of industrial electrical maintenance-related experience.
  2. Must be able to travel as necessary and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  3. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Must have good electrical or instrumentation aptitude, good interpersonal skills, good planning and organizing skills, and a high degree of self-motivation.
  2. Customer oriented, adaptable, open and responsive to change.
  3. Must have knowledge and skills in the use of computer systems. Specific experience in MS-Project is preferred.

Pay and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is from $84,800 to $127,200. Employees (and their dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance coverage, subject to applicable waiting periods. Employees are automatically enrolled in PCA’s 401k retirement plan at the time of hire. Employees are also eligible for up to 120 hours of vacation (prorated) and eleven (11) paid holidays per calendar year.
