SRC, Inc. Senior Material Planner (Remote)

SRC, Inc. is seeking a Senior Material Planner (Remote) responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating program materials. This role supports manufacturing and development operations, focusing on internal customer support in raw material acquisition and tracking. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, motivated, team player, and capable of managing supplier relationships. The position reports directly to the Supervisor for Material Planning.

What You'll Do

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate procurement of raw materials, components, and subcontract items for assigned programs.
• Prepare and present program status updates to management and relevant personnel.
• Monitor inventory to prevent shortages.
• Initiate purchase requisitions, change orders, or material transfers as needed.
• Assist in developing build plans and workflows to meet delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve schedule issues.
• Utilize tools like material trackers, dashboards, and KPIs to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of inventory management, bills of material, and MRP/ERP systems.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Recommend improvements to planning processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement teams.
• Report material deficiencies and develop corrective plans.
• Communicate planning processes effectively to management.
• Analyze schedule deviations and cost impacts, working closely with engineering.
• Train personnel on planning processes and procedures.
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Facilitate meetings, initiate discussions, and prepare summaries.

What You'll Bring

• Associate's degree in supply chain, business, or manufacturing, with 6+ years of planning experience or equivalent.
• CPIM certification preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of KPIs and basic supply chain activities.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Experience in guiding teams and facilitating meetings.
