Job summary

Planet Fitness Newton is hiring a Customer Service Representative. You will greet members, sign up new members, and log amenities while delivering exceptional, judgement-free service in a welcoming club environment.

Responsibilities include answering phones, assisting guests, processing purchases at the POS, and promoting fitness classes. A High school diploma or GED is preferred, and basic computer skills are essential.

Job DetailsJob Location: L133 Newton - Newton, NC 28658Full - Time: Starting at $12 per hour.

Shifts Available:

Opening Monday through Friday 4:45 am to 11:30 am

Closing Tuesday through Thursday 4 pm to 11:15 pm, Friday 2 pm to 9:15 pm and Saturday 11 pm to 7:15 pm.

4 pm to 11:15 pm Tuesday through Thursday, 2 pm to 9:15 pm Fridays

Hourly increases at 180 days, 1 year and every 6 months, after the first year, based on anniversary date.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, ensuring an exceptional Judgement Free member experience.

• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the point of sale system
• Promote our unique fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to our active members and our new members
• Provide a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

QualificationsJob Requirements:

• Customer service experience
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic computer proficiency

Physical Demands:

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
