Job summary

Planet Fitness Gastonia is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative to join our team. Starting pay is $12 per hour with scheduled increases at 180 days, 1 year, and every 6 months after the first year, based on your anniversary date.

This role requires a flexible schedule with one weekend day required. You will greet members, sign up new members, answer phones, process purchases, and help maintain a clean, inviting club environment while delivering a Judgement Free experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to members and guests.
• Greet members, sign up new members, log amenities.
• Answer phones using information script.
• Process purchases at POS.
• Promote fitness instruction classes to members.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized club environment.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, ensuring an exceptional Judgement Free member experience.

• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the point of sale system
• Promote our unique fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to our active members and our new members
• Provide a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

Qualifications: Job Requirements:

• Customer service experience
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic computer proficiency

Physical Demands:

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
