The Municipality of Anchorage seeks a Permitting Manager in Development Services to oversee residential and commercial building and land use permits from application to Certificate of Occupancy, including answering technical code questions.

Applicants should have extensive experience in engineering, plan review, CAD, and project management; a background check is required, and telecommuting may be considered after probation.

Qualificações

• Must have 6 years of technical experience in engineering, permitting, plan review, surveying, CAD, drafting, project management, or related field.
• Experience enforcing Anchorage land use regulation (AMC, Title 21 or COSA) preferred.
• Background check including criminal, education, and employment history required at hire.

Responsabilidades

• Manage residential and commercial building and land use permits from application to Certificate of Occupancy.
• Review submittals, answer technical code questions, and coordinate plan reviews with staff.
• Handle cashiering and cash management using SAP and respond to customer inquiries.
