The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a Civil Engineer in the Development Services department to perform professional engineering reviews of road design and drainage plans and coordinate with private developers. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 5 years of experience, Alaska PE license, and a valid Alaska driver’s license;

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• State of Alaska driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must be registered in the State of Alaska as a Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering or other appropriate engineering discipline.

Aufgaben

• Perform professional engineering reviews and coordinate reviews of construction plans and specifications submitted by private development contractors for road design and drainage.
• Aid in the preparation of subdivision agreements and bond documents.
• Attend project pre-application and pre-construction meetings; participate in site visits and inspections.
• Investigate and respond to road and drainage-related inquiries and complaints; review related permits and plans.
