The role emphasizes relationship-building with carriers, knowledge of work comp loss-sensitive plans, and renewal negotiation. A high school diploma is required, with preference for an associate or bachelor’s degree and experience with AMS360/ImageRight.

• Industry software experience beneficial (AMS360/ImageRight).

Responsibilities

• Assist with marketing efforts for new business accounts by preparing insurance submissions including applications, loss runs and other pertinent information.
• Submit insurance submissions to carriers for quoting via email and online rating; follow up on quotations.
• Develop relationships with insurance carriers and knowledge of different insurance products and rating plans.
• Negotiate pricing and coverage options on renewal accounts.
• Maintain communication during carrier issues as directed by leadership.
• Prepare insurance proposals reflecting coverage and premiums for clients and prospects.
• Transfer new business and renewals to Account Managers after binding with carriers.
• Assist leadership with tracking new business/renewal activity.
• Organize marketing materials of insurance carriers as a resource for the agency.
• Update Marketing Log and maintain urgency to meet deadlines.
• Maintain strong computer skills including Excel, Word and agency management system AMS360/ImageRight.
• Maintain favorable relationships with coworkers and insurance contacts.

Brown & Brown is seeking a Placement Analyst to join our growing team in Jacksonville, FL.

How You Will Contribute

• Assist with the marketing efforts of new business accounts by preparing insurance submissions which will include applications, loss runs and any other pertinent information on the account.
• Submit the insurance submission to the insurance carriers for quoting via email and online rating. Follow up with carriers on quotations of the submissions.
• Develop relationships with insurance carriers. Develop in-depth knowledge of different insurance products offered by insurance carriers – rating plans and programs, particularly work comp loss sensitive plans. Contact carriers as necessary to discuss issues and problems as directed by CL Team Leader.
• Negotiate the pricing and coverage options on renewal accounts.
• Maintain open communication during difficult insurance carrier issues at the direction of the Profit Center Leader/CL Team Leader/Producers.
• Prepare insurance proposals reflecting coverage and premiums to submit to clients and prospects as directed by the CL Team Leader.
• Transfer new business and renewals to assigned Account Managers once the account has been bound with the insurance carriers.
• Assist the CL Team Leader with tracking all new business and renewal activity.
• Assist the CL Team Leader with the organization of all marketing materials of insurance carriers as a resource for the agency.
• Update Marketing Log.
• Maintain a strong sense of urgency for accomplishment of tasks and deadlines.
• Maintain and develop strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and the agency. management system (currently AMS360/ImageRight).
• Maintain favorable relationships with coworkers and insurance company contacts.

Skills & Experience To Be Successful

• High school diploma.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.

Preferred

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Industry software experience.
