Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Patient Support Specialist focused on rare metabolic disorders such as PKU. You will manage therapy initiation, educate patients and caregivers, and coordinate with sales and patient engagement teams to address adherence barriers across pediatric and adult populations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in clinical nutrition, nursing, or patient counseling, plus licensure. Travel up to 50% is expected in a matrixed biopharma setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years in clinical nutrition, nursing, or patient counseling.
• Active Dietitian/Nursing license or Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with metabolic disorders, motivational interviewing, and patient logistics essential.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage therapy initiation and coordinate with sales and patient engagement teams.
• Educate patients and caregivers via phone or video.
• Address adherence barriers and support transition milestones.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and document interactions accurately.
• Serve as PKU subject-matter expert within Patient Services.
• Contribute to workflow improvements within a matrixed biopharma setting.
