Job summary

PTC Therapeutics is seeking a Patient Support Specialist to assist rare disease patients (e.g., PKU) and caregivers, coordinating therapy initiation and ongoing support with Sales, Patient Engagement, and Case Manager teams. The role emphasizes adherence, education, and compliant patient interaction across life stages.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in clinical nutrition, nursing or related counseling, and relevant licenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; 5+ years in clinical nutrition, nursing, or patient counseling with adherence support.
• Active Dietitian/Nursing license preferred; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Ability to drive sustained adherence with individualized coaching and barrier resolution.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and caregivers on disease state, safety, and administration via phone/video.
• Coordinate therapy initiation and ongoing patient support with Sales, Patient Engagement, and Case Manager teams.
• Escalate urgent concerns and ensure compliance with SOPs and HIPAA requirements.
• Document patient interactions accurately in approved systems; track adherence and outcomes.
• Support transitions across life stages, including pediatric to adult care.
