Job summary

CraftWorx BBQ and Brews in Bristow, VA is seeking a Grill Master / Pitmaster to lead our smokehouse operations. You’ll prep, smoke, and pack house-smoked meats from brisket to chicken while upholding quality and safety standards.

Role offers a part-time schedule (3 days/week, early shift) with potential for full-time cross-training in prep/line roles. You’ll join a friendly team, with discounts on food and drinks and opportunities to shape our BBQ identity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience smoking meats in professional or competitive BBQ settings.
• Strong knowledge of BBQ techniques, meat cuts, rubs and timing.
• Ability to work independently and manage a cook schedule.
• Dependable, organized and passionate about BBQ.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in a hot kitchen/smokehouse.

Responsibilities

• Arrive early (approx. 7:00 AM) to light the smoker and begin prep
• Trim, season, and smoke brisket, ribs, pork shoulder, chicken, and other meats
• Monitor temps, maintain fire management, and ensure proper timing for each cook
• Prep meats for service and properly pack items for storage or catering
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
