Wright’s Barbecue is seeking Pit Masters to prepare high-quality meats for our Rogers location. No prior pit experience required, and training will be provided.

The role focuses on following recipes, organizing workstations, and assisting staff to ensure timely orders while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Prepare high-quality meats and food items according to company recipes.
• Store excess food at correct temperatures to avoid spoilage.
• Ensure portions and presentation meet company standards.
• Monitor supplies and reorder stock as needed.
• Ensure utensils are cleaned before use.
• Clean and sterilize food prep areas.
• Assist staff to ensure timely food orders.
• Resolve issues with customers’ orders promptly.

Wright’s Barbecue is hiring Pit Masters to prepare high-quality meats. No previous Pit experience required.

The Pit Masters for Rogers location responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other staff members as needed.

Candidates should also be able to ensure that the refrigerators, smokers and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.

Our Pit Masters and Cooks should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meat our expectations. Additional training will be provided.

Pit Master and Cook Responsibilities:

• Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.
• Preparing high-quality meats and food items according to company recipes.
• Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
• Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
• Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
• Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
• Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
• Assisting other staff members to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders.
• Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.

Pit Master and Cook Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
