Wright’s Barbecue in Little Rock is hiring Pit Masters to prepare high-quality meats with no prior Pit experience required. You will follow recipes, assemble ingredients, and keep workstations clean while delivering timely orders.

As part of a team, you’ll monitor equipment, store food safely, and help with stock while learning cooking methods and techniques. Training is provided to ensure consistency and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Reliable transportation is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques; additional training provided.
• Ability to follow recipes and work in a team.
• Knife experience and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Prepare high-quality meats and food items per recipes.
• Store excess food at correct temperatures to prevent spoilage.
• Ensure portions and presentation meet company standards.
• Monitor supplies and reorder stock as needed.
• Keep cooking utensils clean before each use.
• Clean and sterilize food prep areas.
• Assist staff to ensure timely food orders.
• Resolve customer order issues efficiently.
