Wright's Barbecue is hiring Pit Masters to prepare high-quality meats. No previous Pit experience required.

The Pit Masters for Johnsonlocation responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other staff members as needed. Candidates should also be able to ensure that the refrigerators, smokers and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Solid cooking knowledge and techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes.
• Knife experience.
• Team player.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Cook high-quality meats and items per company recipes.
• Store excess food at correct temperatures to prevent spoilage.
• Ensure portions and presentation meet standards.
• Monitor supplies and reorder stock as needed.
• Keep cooking utensils clean before use.
• Clean and sterilize food prep areas.
• Assist staff to complete orders promptly.
• Resolve customer order issues efficiently.
• Comply with food health and safety regulations.
