Job summary

Blue Origin Engines is seeking an experienced engineer to design and develop ground-based fluid piping systems for a development program. You will own the complete life cycle from definition through operation, with emphasis on stress analysis for piping with large thermal gradients.

Expect travel up to 20% and collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure quality and safety. The role requires a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering with Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical focus.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace, petrochemical, power, etc.
• Expertise in design and development of pressurized piping system architectures.
• Strong technical fundamentals in fluid design and construction to code standards.

Responsibilities

• Own fluid subsystems and lead technical direction.
• Perform stress analysis for complex pressurized piping across large thermal gradients.
• Derive support loads and coordinate with civil/structural engineers.
• Collaborate with production orgs to resolve manufacturing or procurement challenges.
• Work with operations to fabricate, install, activate, and operate fluid systems.
• Ensure operations and maintenance follow design intent and requirements.
• Collaborate with designers and configuration managers for product structures and control.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for cost- and schedule-effective sourcing.
