Job summary

Blue Origin Engines seeks an experienced engineer to own fluid subsystems for development programs. You will lead design, analysis, and test support of high-pressure piping systems, from concept to operation, including P&IDs and component selection, while collaborating with production, operations, and supply chain to meet cost and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical) required.
• 5+ years in aerospace, petrochemical, power, or similar sectors.
• Experience with pressurized piping system architectures.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid design and codes/regulations (ASME B31.3, BPVC).
• Experience with fluid system sizing, layout, components, and ops concepts.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling tools (AFT Fathom/Arrow, HYSYS).
• Ability to mentor less experienced engineers.
• U.S. citizen or lawful immigration status.

Responsibilities

• Technical ownership of fluid subsystems.
• Perform fluid sizing analysis for complex pressurized piping systems.
• Select components and generate specifications.
• Coordinate with production to resolve manufacturing/procurement challenges.
• Work with operations to fabricate, install, activate, and operate fluid systems.
• Ensure activities align with design intent and requirements.
• Collaborate to establish product structures and configuration control.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for cost/schedule optimized sourcing.
• Travel up to 20% to other Blue Origin sites.
