Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to perform complete designs of piping and mechanical systems on projects of varying complexity under general supervision. Ideal candidates hold a B.S. or M.S.

in Mechanical Engineering, are registered Professional Engineers or pursuing licensure, and have at least 3 years of relevant experience in industry. You will work with cross-disciplinary teams, develop technical drawings, perform analyses, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete designs of mechanical engineering assignments under general supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for solutions.
• Produce detailed design calculations and sketches for construction materials.
• Review vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for mechanical input.
• Provide technical guidance to drafting/engineering personnel.
