Job summary

Sunoco LP is hiring for a corrosion technician to inspect, install, troubleshoot and maintain cathodic protection systems across pipelines and facilities. The role involves proactive testing, data recording, and compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, plus exposure to corrosion control, relative maintenance, and safety procedures. Travel and training may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant corrosion or pipeline experience preferred.
• Experience levels depend on position: Level C (0–2 yrs), Level B (2–6 yrs), Level A (6+ yrs with credentials).
• Preferred certifications include NACE CP CP2, CIP1, or equivalent in corrosion control.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems for pipelines and facilities.
• Perform surveys and readings (pipe-to-soil, casing-to-soil, rectifier, bonds) per procedures.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA) and document findings.
